Painted Horse was conceived in 1995 when Victor & Alan had a late night acoustic jam with Steve Zimmerman.
Evelyn, Save The Day and a few others came out of know where and we both felt the magic.
Fast forward a few months and rehearsals began with John Petraniuk on drums to originally play acoustic based music that was coming out at the time (Pearl Jam, STP, Days Of The New, ect) But somehow we got to trying out a few of the acoustic numbers and began writing & rehearing in earnest to record a full length LP. A year later with only the basic acoustic framework we went into Suite 16 studios and spent a good part of another year recording and producing what is PAINTED HORSE which was finished in 1997. Victor took control of the studio and started creating a whole new backdrop to the songs with new layers & ideas & sounds. "To me this was to be my Revolver, Sgt Pepper or White Album meaning I was finally going to be able to be creative and build up the album in a studio as The Beatles did back in the day just trying ideas out and seeing what stuck. Unfortunately life got in the way and this project never saw the light of day except to our closest friends & family. Through the years people who've heard it still remind us of what a great album it was. Fast forward to 2021. Victor took all the master tapes into the studio (Dexter's Lab) and began the task of remixing the entire album with todays technology and the help of Nick Belmore. While opening the tracks we found 5 more unfinished songs with vocals and another three instrumentals which have now been fully finished and included in this CD set. In addition a compete CD of stripped down acoustic versions were mixed as this was the foundation before we even stepped foot into the studio.

We are so so happy & proud to finally see this project get a proper release for everyone to hear. We hope you enjoy it

AID A PET which is a non-profit organization which assists providing basic necessities of food, basic medical care and support to pets (Dogs & Cats) of owners who are struggling to maintain their dailly needs. This program was founded by Lorie Reardon "Victor's Wife" in 1996 and 25 years later is still going strong.
